the military.

headRush, Carolyn Norr, Ryan Harvey(yes,of Riotfolk!), Eric Escobar, Evan Hastings, Teatro del FEO and YOU!!

*Aimee Allison
Army Conscientious Objector and mother who is a writer, speaker, and community activist on issues of peace and justice and she has been a leader in the counter-recruitment movement and in counseling soldiers who are resisting the Iraq War. Her commitment to Oakland's future -children - has led her to run for city council. The election is just a couple weeks away.

*Pablo Paredes
US Navy war resister and member of Iraq Veterans
Against the War. He recently led the 241 mile
"March for Peace" from Tijuana, Mexico that reached
San Francisco on March 27, 2006.

*Carolyn Norr
lives in Oakland, where she works doing creative
writing and community art with youth. She writes and performs poetry as a way of maintaining clarity in a crazy world, and has just completed her first novel.

* Teatro del FEO will be performing
"Operation: 'In La Kech'" (Mayan for 'you are my other self')

* headRush
combines elements of Xicano theatre and spoken word to create a unique rush of psycho-politico head-trips and satirical commentary.

*Eric Escobar
filmaker born and raised in the Bay Area.
His films have screened at festivals and on television
internationally. Both of Eric's parents are Vietnam Veterans, his film "One Weekend A Month" is about what war costs families.

*Ryan Harvey
anarchist activist/organizer and folk musician
originally fron Baltimore, MD. He has been involved in
anti-capitalist and anti-work since 1999 and is a member of the Riot-Folk Collective (http://www.riotfolk.org).

*Evan Hastings
is a Theatrical Educator, Poetic Performer, & Innovative Activist. Integrating Theatre of the Oppressed, Drama Therapy and elements of Hip Hop culture into his approach to artistic social healing.
Evan is currently working with Opera Piccola as a Resident Artist teaching Hip Hop Theatre in Oakland public middle and high schools.

Synopsis: Busy single mom Meg McDermott is having a routine crazy Monday morning when her phone rings. The caller delivers some news that turns her life, and lives of her children, upside down.
