How Mayor Gavin Newsom is using the Alice Griffith Project to foster the 49er City
Mayor Gavin Newsom is using the Alice Griffith Public Housing Project to further his ploy to develop the proposed 49er City and fool the constituents or so he thinks. Dwayne Jones and other have been using second hand computers and The WiFi technology with the help of Google to cheat poor folks and deceive them. The Alice Griffith Project was protected under the South Bayshore Plan but an amendment as seen to it that vast areas including Alice Griffith can now come under the Project Plan and under the knife of San Francisco Redevelopment Agency.
Mayor Gavin Newsom and his cronies like Dwayne Jones continues to cheat poor people promising them jobs, giving them second hand computers, and cheap WiFi facilities that cannot compare with fast down loads that one can get from Cable or DSL. He is playing with fire at Alice Griffith and it is NOT working.
First the Mayor used some youth most from outside Double Rock or Alice Griffith to asphalt the roads. The local jobless youth watched as other youth and outsiders were given jobs.
The mostly Samoan Community were left in the dark. Talofa!
Then the Mayor with the help of Dwayne Jones who once was Director of the Mayor's Office of Community Development and now works as a wanabee behind the scenes as the Mayor's side kick preparing models to deceive innocent people such as the folks at Alice Griffith.
Dwayne Jones was also Director of Young Community Developers (YCD) before he jumped ship. Then he created Project Connect while getting $10,000 a month for 9 months from YCD.
For those that remember he and some one who holds a good position at DPW used SLUG workers to work for Gavin Newsom and his campaign. City workers working on City Time to help the future Mayor of San Francisco - in this case Gavin Newsom.
Dwayne Jones get rewarded for his dishonesty and is given the position of Director of Community Developers. Dwayne works behind the scene making crooked ploys a reality and for Gavin Newsom. He is the one that is beind Project Connect, Project Homeless, and Project Crooks that he will put in palce very soon when he goes behind the bars.
Over 40 percent of the folks at Alice Griffith are Samoans and they have not been given opportunities. Some fake annoucements call for some training for so called good jobs. The youth have poor skills, most have no High School Diploma, most have not held a job.
A Booth Camp and some fake training lasting 4 to 6 weeks where some of the youth that survive the Booth Camp are taught some skills mostly linked to Construction Work. Most of the youth wait and wait and wait and cannot find jobs. It is the old trick where promises are made and the youth taken for a ride. This nonsense must stop.
The WiFi Project where some poor broadband is provided - to help Google take root in San Francisco.
The bottom line is that those that can afford Cable or DSL get a quality product. The free WiFi is very slow to down load pictures and the youth that know what is best as far as the Internet is concerned cannot be fooled.
Some of the youth make good drug deals and have good computers and know the difference. WiFi that the City provides is of very poor quality and does not work half the time.
The joke is on the Mayor the second hand computers were found missing. There was a Black Out and in the dark some one made off with all the computers. So, the youth are wondering what is happening - now we have it and now we don't!
Meantime, at City Hall Jake McGoldrick is figuring out how the Internet Real Works and why the City is not doing more to take control of its affairs. When given the comparsion of a road - Joke McGoldrick gets it but he is not there yet. WiFi cannot be provided free to anyone without a catch - especially when Google is involved.
The whole process of giving Google the contract without due process stinks.
We have the Brown Act and we have the Public Records Act and we can trying to get to the bottom but the bottom is too deep for words. Ron Vison is the mean time learned a lot about the Public Records Act because they tried to fool with Kimo Crossman and Kimo took them to places they had never been before - the front pages of the Examiner and SF Chronicle.
Again and again we have City officials come before Committee Meetings and lie. The City has chosen to take the route where the constituents are kept in the dark.
San Francisco could have owned the fiber lines and more just like San Bruno does. But again and again we have sold out to private companies because some one is on the take. We have outsiders in San Francisco that come to work here - and while they are here they fleece this City.
Today we get our services from Comcast and pay so much. We could have got more paying $15 or less and owned the cable infrastructure but we chose to sellout to Comcast. Today, many cannot afford cable and are kept in the dark. If you choose to have Comcast as a provider for basic service you may $50 - if you want more you pay more.
The poor constituents will never get quality Internet because Quality cost money. The slow facilties now given to some free at Alice Griffith and the proposed free WiFi Citywide in full of holes.
Good Internet demands quality service and that is what I stated a long time ago.
Way back in the 1990s we dabbled with WiFi and very successful. There are cluster of free WiFi all over the City - it is nothing new. The issue at hand it to have fast downloads and good hardware and software to make that happen. Good things cost money and no one it going to give it for free.

We have Alex Trouk prodding Dwayne Jones and Jesse Blout and that crook that one has to be very careful about Marcia Rosen from Redevelopment. These scumbags think nothing about using people. It is just like the Holocaust but this time using mostly Black folks to make it happen.
San Francisco Redevelopment is working on a plan to kick out all those that live in Public Housing at Alice Griffith and the other areas. In two years that whole area will look different complete with folks that do not live there now.
It is a shame how Dwayne Jones has sold out his community and especially the Black Community.

In the mean time crime is on the increase. You can buy good guns for as little as $100 and pistols for $50 and lots of them. Drugs you name them can be purchased and Drug Pimps can deliver anything you want - all you have to show them is the Green.
In the interm the youth are promised jobs with ploys like CityBuild and so on. The Department of Public Works (DPW) cannot maintain our roads - there are over 2000 potholes all over San Francisco. Some of them have been there for years.
Now the DPW want billions in bonds to fix our infrastructure - DPW must be out of their mind.
The constituents of San Francisco will NOT pass any BOND MEASURE linked to giving one single cent to DPW. DPW in not capable of doing anything and has let down the community of San Francisco for the longest time ever.
Citizens of San Francisco be very leery of DPW and do not pass any any Bond Measure that favors DPW wasting taxpayers money.
