DEA Raids in Sacramento today
(this announcement was from 12:20pm)
DEA and Sacramento PD Raid in Progress!
If you are in the area, join the protest at Capitol Alternatives -
2020 16th Street, Sacramento
Earlier this morning at 9am, the home of a Sacramento dispensary
operator was raided by the DEA, FBI and Sacramento Sheriff. The
multi-agency raid was conducted with search warrants for the home and
car of one of the operators of Capitol Alternatives. The operator was
not arrested, but paperwork and medicine was confiscated.
Later this morning, at approximately 11am, the DEA, with the active
participation of the Sacramento Police Department, raided the Capitol
Alternatives dispensary in Sacramento. Police are currently holding
everyone inside the dispensary (we're not sure if patients are inside),
and there is a protest happening right now outside the dispensary.
If you are in the area, please go to Capitol Alternatives at 2020
16th Street in Sacramento and protest these outrageous raid by local
and federal law enforcement. This is a direct attack on patients and
providers of medical marijuana.
There have been no reports of other dispensaries being raided.
