"Any movement that does not support its political internees is a
movement destined to fail." -Break the Chains Conference-

Political prisoners represent the heart of the movement for social
justice and the struggle for earth and animal liberation. They are the
ones bearing the brunt of this struggles' resistance. With the recent
federal indictments, grand juries and convictions we must come
together in solidarity and support these and other political prisoners.

Mail time is often the brightest part of a prisoner's day. Letters help
show that there is a whole movement of support outside the prison
walls - and that they are not alone.

We will provide envelopes, paper and stamps as well as bios and
information on many U.S. political prisoners. We will also provide
resources on writing letters to prisoners, such as specific prison
regulations, tips and suggestions.

Vegan goodies, tea and coffee will also be available.

There is no such thing as "the struggle for earth and animal liberation."

These are two different struggles. The struggle of social justice is a third.
by resistance is global y multifactorial
The above comment that claims there are three seperate struggles is inaccurate. There aren't three separate struggles, only people who focus on single issues. In reality, all these struggles are merging into a global resistance against corporate tyranny, aka fascism. To claim that the ELF and the ALF are separate entities is to not understand the scope of the damages caused by factory farms, clear-cut logging, suburban sprawl both domestically and internationally. Activists in Mexico who struggle against logging of the Sierra Madres are combining social justice and ecological issues. The same goes for many actions domestically, look up Judi Bari to learn more about the effects of logging corporations on both working people and the ecosystem, and how she combined both for greater grassroots unity in the Redwood Summer campaign..

Maybe reading a brief explanation of the IWW timber workers union would help, try

and

to get some background on how all struggles are inter-related, not seperate and definitely not non-existant..

It is sad that the Legal System has found a way to march into the past. The Holocaust is only beginning. I remember only 15 years ago that these issues were not at the forefront of our country. We are a Nation becoming afraid of the very institution that is supposed to protect and serve. We must all join together like in the battle of Jericho and raise up our voices...we want JUSTICE!!! No more false arrests, false police reports, false charges, prosecutorial misconduct. We want our 4th, 6th, and 14th Ammendment Rights.

Where have you been? The struggle for Earth liberation and the struggle for animal liberation are very much THE SAME struggle. You cannot have Earth liberation without liberating it's creatures and vice versa.
by that's absurd
Who do plan to "liberate" the creatures from, Nature? Are you going to "liberate the prey from the predators? How?

No one who who understands how Nature works would even consider such thing.

In Nature, everything dies, everything that dies is consumed by the living. All life lives on death. That's Nature's way. Animal liberation postulates that should stop. It wont, because it can't. It's not possible for life to exist without death. In other words, the very idea is absurd, so say nothing of unnatural.
The overwhelming majority of people who care about the earth, and work to preserve Nature, also eat meat. Why are you trying to alienate us?
"caring" and "actually living by your beliefs" are two entirely different things. some of the worst poluting industries pretend to "care" about the environment.

eating meat in america today, where most of it comes from factory farms, is one of the worst things you can do for the environment. every step down the food chain people eat, the better for the envonment.

it's the same as driving less over time, until your habit is to walk/bike every day and driving seems unusual. (as driving is one of the other worst things we can do to the environment)

doesn't mean alienating car drivers, or meateaters, or non-recyclers, it's just the facts. people can take it for what they will. if you truely care about the environment, you will adjust your behavior accordingly. doesn't mean you will instantly be perfect -- we all take from the earth to live -- but with enough commitment we can all reduce our footprint dramatically over time. together we can reshape a more sustainable society
