"Bodies in the Rubble"

The residents of the Civic Center Hotel, a residential SRO at 20 12th Street, are protesting the failure of the building's owner to even start the City-mandated seismic retrofit for this UMB (Unreinforced Masonry Building). This work was supposed to be completed by February 15, 2006, and they haven't even applied for building permits yet.

Where: In front of the "100th Anniversery Earthquake Conference", Moscone Center North,
Howard Street between 3rd and 4th Streets
How: Wear your red "bloody" shirt and bring any spare cardboard or styrofoam rubble
