Support School Board / Support TEACHERS! Wednesday @ 7PM

by Jennifer Laskin
We just heard that a few folks are going to be coming from Aptos and some from Watsonville to attack the School Bd about the resignation of the Superintendent. They want to criticize the school board members who "drove" out our old superintendent. WE NEED TO SHOW OUR FRIENDS ON THE SCHOOL BOARD OUR SUPPORT. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

Next regular board meeting is:
April 12 , 2006
COME SPEAK AT 7:00PM

Note: This meeting's Closed Session Begins at 5:30 pm.
District Office Boardroom
294 Green Valley Road, Watsonville, CA 95076

Please call PVUSD @ 831-786-2135 if you have any questions.
The school board members have made the right decisions on many issues including no on reorganization/segregation, student privacy & military recruiters, Cesar Chavez Middle School, certificates of completion & the exit exam, the DREAM Act resolution, and addressing the dropout/expulsion rates. We need to back them up.

Say words in support of our school board, need to move on with finding a new superintendent who can work with everyone in the community, will resist unfair and unjust "mandates" on education by the federal governement, and that the school board is not a rubber stamp for the superintendent.

WE ARE NOW ASKING FOLKS TO COME SPEAK AT 7:00PM INSTEAD b/c THAT IS WHEN THE VIDEO RECORDED SESSION BEGINS AND IT WOULD BE BETTER.

Speak in support of our friends on the school board on Item 9.0 (Visitor Non-Agenda Items). FILL OUT A CARD BEFORE THIS BEGINS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK.

9.0 VISITOR NON-AGENDA ITEMS
Public comments will be allowed. The Board President will recognize any member of the audience not on the agenda and wishing to speak on a matter directly related to school business.
