A Farewell Celebration for Co-Founder Steve Wong

Lovelife Bags, an S.F. business that blends art, fashion, and environmentalism, invite the whole city to say “Bon Voyage” to co-founder Steve Wong, as he leaves the country. Over 100 Lovelife Bags, especially made for this two day event, will be displayed on the walls of Space Gallery accompanied with raffles and door prizes for bag giveaways plus music, and drinks.

On opening night, you have first pick of the bags for sale and to lively things up, there will be DJs spinning oldies, soul and funk all evening with a full bar.

The second event will be during the day and offer a more intimate gallery setting. Wine will be available.

Raffles and door prizes will happen at BOTH events, so if you only have enough money to take the bus home, you could still be leaving with a lovelife bag original.

From a company who usually does special order only. These events will be a chance to snag a one of a kind, utilitarian accessory that has a beneficial message and is a part of San Francisco lifestyle.

“Bon Voyage Blowout” begins at 7pm going until 12am on Fri. April 28th, and continues at 12pm ending at 7pm on Sat. April 29th. The Space Gallery is located at 1411 Polk St., San Francisco, CA. $3-$5 sliding scale admission. Please check out http://www.lovelifebags.com for more information.

About Lovelife Bags, S.F.:

Lovelife Bags was started in the Geography department of San Francisco State University with the intention to stop talking about environmental and social problems and pose a proactive solution. Lovelife is made up of Steve Wong and Roxanne Swaminathan, including the dozens of friends and interns that come and lend a hand. Look around S.F. streets, Lovelife has been supplying messenger bags (their signature piece) to most of the underground biking community for over three years, not to mention the rest of the S.F. who now sport these multi-functional bags.

This company was established to promote the use of otherwise wasted materials, items that cannot be “recycled” unless they are reformed into a functional and stylish product.

In each Lovelife bag otherwise wasted, used billboards are salvaged and brought back to life as the inside layer of every creation.

Most fabrics used are unique (vintage fabrics), once they run out there will never be another. Please check out http://www.lovelifebags.com for more information.
