Two Sacramento Anti-War Rallies Planned for April
Here's the announcement from Steve and Virginia Pearcy about two anti-war rallies coming up this month. I hope to see you there!
Hello everyone:
The following two Sacramento anti-war rallies are planned for April:
Saturday, April 15, from 5pm to 7pm, 16th & Broadway. Bring signs, banners,
displays and attention-getters. Since April 15 is normally a tax return
deadline, we can incorporate a protest of the use of our tax dollars to wage
Bush's unjust occupations. Participants/sponsors: Stephen & Virginia
Pearcy, Sacramento for Democracy, others to be added.
Contact: Stephen Pearcy (510)559-3118
Saturday, April 29, from 10am to noon, 13th & J Street. This location was
chosen because it's where the Democratic Party will meet at the Sacramento
Convention Center on April 28 and 29. The purpose of the rally is to
pressure the Democratic Party delegates to adopt the progressive caucus'
exit plan language (which is strongly worded in favor of ending the American
military presence in Iraq). If the current plan language isn't proposed as
it stands now, it will take 300 delegates' signatures to force the plan onto
the state platform for consideration. Participants/sponsors: Sacramento for
Democracy, Stephen & Virginia Pearcy, Sacramento Code Pink, others to be
added. Contact: Roanna Krisko, roanna.krisko [at] lennar.com (916) 730-9044
Additional details about each of these rallies will be sent as we get closer
to each date. For now, please mark your calendars.

are we going to do corners while chanting tired old slogans? we'd best be certain to get back on the sidewalks before the lights change because we wouldn't want to upset any of the motorists or get ticketed by the Sucto police. when are the liberals going to realize their tired old tactics are working? the Bush regime is no different then any other cadre that would have taken possesion of the White House in 2004 and no different than any that will take power in 2008. the democrats merely offer a milder more palatable form of expolitation than the republicans.
