Homeland Security Official Arrested For Luring Minors On the Internet
Homeland Security official caught in child porn sting....a.k.a. It's Times Like These I Especially Appreciate The Police and Prisons!! Yet another reason why we need a system of firm checks and balances in all forms of government. Kudos to this Police Dept. that was not intimidated to take on Homeland Security: the President's personal security force who have the guts to issue "security memos" even though they always seem to have their head up their ass. According to many accounts, there are a lot more child molesters within the Neo-Con cabal. May they find the others, too.

MIAMI (AP) — The deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security was arrested Tuesday for using the Internet to seduce what he thought was a teenage girl, authorities said.
Brian J. Doyle, 55, was arrested at his residence in Maryland on charges of use of a computer to seduce a child and transmission of harmful material to a minor. The charges were issued out of Polk County, Fla.
Authorities said he was online with the "girl," a Florida undercover sheriff's deputy, when police arrived at his Silver Spring, Md., house to arrest him.
Doyle had a sexually explicit conversation with what he believed was a 14-year-old girl whose profile he saw on the Internet on March 14, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
The girl was really an undercover Polk County Sheriff's Computer Crimes detective, the sheriff's office said.
Doyle sent pornographic movie clips and had sexually explicit conversations via the Internet, the statement said.
During other online conversations, Doyle revealed his name, that he worked for the Homeland Security Department, and offered his office and government issued cellphone numbers, the sheriff's office said.

Homeland Security was put on leave and his security clearance suspended on Wednesday after being arrested on charges of using the Internet to try to seduce a 14-year-old girl, an official said.
Brian Doyle, 55, was arrested on Tuesday night in a sex- sting operation and accused of obscenely propositioning an undercover agent he thought was a teen-ager.
The Homeland Security department is one of the federal agencies responsible for investigating child pornography and online exploitation of children, through its immigration and customs unit and the
Secret Service. Department officials said those agencies were not involved in this case.
"The department is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation," said department press secretary Russ Knocke, Doyle's supervisor. "We take these allegations very seriously."
Doyle had been placed on "a non-pay status and his security clearance, employee badge and facility access permissions have been suspended," Knocke said.
He gave no personal information about Doyle, but current and former colleagues expressed shock and surprise at his arrest.
Doyle faces 23 charges in Polk County, Florida, related to use of a computer to seduce a child and transmitting harmful materials to a minor. He was being held in a suburban Washington jail pending extradition to Florida.
