‘Invisible 5’ is a two-CD self-guided audio tour along the I-5, between Los Angeles and San Francisco that uses the format of a museum audio tour to guide the listener along the highway landscape, mixing elements of critical tourism, sonic experiment, audio documentary, and investigative journalism. Drawing from oral histories, archival sound, found sound, recorded music, and field recordings to I-5 investigates the invisible toxic landscape of the I-5 corridor through the stories of people and communities fighting for environmental justice along California's major North - South corridor. The audio tour is now available for download from the website (http://www.invisible5.org) and in mid-April will be available as a 2-cd set with an accompanying map.
