Tuesday--City Council on Oak to 9th
The Oakland City Council will hold a public hearing on the Oak to Ninth project Tuesday, March 28th at 6:30 p.m.
Two weeks ago the Oakland Planing Commission had a hearing on Oak to Ninth. The memorable moment was when a speaker for the developers dismissed health and environmental concerns, saying: "Working people want jobs. People don't care about leukemia."
The Planning Commission apparently agreed. With one exception, the commissioners approved the project. Tonight (Tuesday, March 28) it goes to the City Council.
