Yesterday was a great day for marriage equality in
New England, as GLAD's marriage case advanced in
Connecticut, and New Hampshire's legislature
rejected an anti-gay, anti-marriage equality
constitutional amendment by a huge margin!

GLAD senior attorney Bennett
Klein argued before New Haven Superior Court that
denying marriage to same-sex couples violates the
state's constitutional guarantees of liberty and
equality to all Connecticut citizens. The
judge was engaged and thoughtful, Ben made a
strong case, and our eight plaintiff couples spoke to the media

why marriage - and nothing less - is what they seek

a noxious constitutional amendment
that would define marriage as only between one man
and one woman. GLAD supported NHFTM, analyzing
the potential legal impact of such an amendment,

answered the call!

With a well-organized, well-funded opposition to
contend with both locally and nationally, we can
enjoy these successes, but can never let down our
guard. Thanks to your support, we will keep fighting
until we have full legal equality! Please give
