Ford Dealership Blockade, Palo Alto CA
The Raging Grannies, RAN, Global Exchange, the Ruckus Society, CODEPINK, Veterans for Peace, and San Mateo Peace Action Team Up to Tell Ford that Urgent Action is Needed to Break America's Oil Addiction!
Our oil-addicted country is in a serious crisis. Given the immensity of problem, Ford's response has been insufficient - they just aren't getting the message. That's why Jumpstart Ford joined up with the Raging Grannies to blockade the entrance to University Ford in Palo Alto to protest Ford's leading role in America's oil addiction. Through this peaceful protest, five activists put their bodies on the line in order to highlight the extreme injustices created by our oil addiction and the urgency with which Ford needs to address these issues.
We hope that this story will inspire a wave of similar actions across North America in the future.
