GirlFest Coming to Bay Area March 24-26 Concerts Comedy Workshops and Film Fest.

GiRL FeST Bay Area is a multimedia art festival and conference that will take place March 24-26, 2006 at venues in Berkeley and in San Francisco, California. GiRL FeST's mission is to prevent violence against women and girls through education and art.

In a format similar to ladyfest or riotgrrl, GirlFest uses a festival and conference format of activism to highlight a broad range of women's and girl issues. Most of the event occurs on the UC Berkeley campus, however there are off campus venues as well both in SF and Berekeley.
