Bayview Storekeepers in San Francisco leaving 3rd Street by the droves
MUNI 3rd Steet Lighrail took a very heavy toll of the storekeepers on 3rd Street in San Francisco and we lost many good stores. Now with the San Francisco Redevelopement Agency incorporation very large areas under the Project Area - landlords are asking for more money and not extending leases. It has begun already many good stores are leaving and with that customers are not happy. Gentrification has begun in earnest and the community is looking to the City Leaders and Mayor Gavin Newsom but he and his cronies are no where in sight.
There is only so much of gentrification that any community can take.
First it was MUNI Lightrail it took so long to build and so many stores shut down and left because of the dust and the construcition limited access to stores and customers did not want to go any where near the dust and construction.
Now San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) under Marcia Rosen and Mayor Gavin Newsom has declared a huge area a Project Area. Soon under Eminent Domain they will begin the evictions of those that own homes and faciltites.
Already, some landlords are jumping ship and not extending leases - one such victim is Golden Eagle it has been in operation for over 10 years. Ask anyone if they like the service and the snacks at Golden Eagle on 3rd Street by Revere Street? Everyone knows Ali but Ali told me he has but one year and then he will be gone.

There is one AH who comments on my articles but does not have the guts to reveal his real name.
The moderators on this forum should not allow such an AH get away hiding behind his key board. At least the jerk should offer something positive but he gets away every single time.
