I write to you in San Francisco on Saturday morning, 18 March 2006, between 7 and 8 AM,
before California's anti-Bush demo(s).
Protests have already started in Australia and Europe.
Here in SF, we're lucky to have a day without rain, tho it may be windy.

Probably I'll march,
tho I want to be in two places at the same time --
in Golden Gate Park for the Anarchist Book Fair,
whilst also downtown at the protest.
[ Progressive bungling makes these events
conflict and compete with each other. ]

Wherever you may be,
please try to find a way
to speak up on this Saturday --
while we still
are partly free.

soon to be voted on in the US Senate.
Sup. Chris Daly and Sheila Chung of the Bay Area Immigration Rights Center host a fundraiser

The bill makes it illegal for anyone, possibly including social service workers, to help
an undocumented worker remain in the country;
