THEIR STORIES PROJECT:
-------------------------------------------- Chronicles of the Homeless We are currently recruitng volunteers for a new project that we think will be rewarding, fun and potentially important. This new initiative involves a individuals and small teams writing/recording interviews with homeless people so that the rest of the city can help figure out how to help. 30-Minute Info Session, 30-Minute Orientation AGENDA: 30-minute general session, optional 30-minute orientation -------------------- Individuals that are still interested can then do any of the following: (1) Volunteer immediately for non-field work. We need individuals that are willing to edit, post and manage the site. (2) Attend a 2-hour formalized training and neighborhood tour beginning at 5:15 p.m., immediately following the orientation. (FIELD volunteers MUST complete either a group or specially scheduled individual training session BEFORE they may begin to conduct interviews as part of the project.) (3) Attend a different formal training four to six weeks later (depending on level of interest and availalbe resources). (4) Schedule a time for a one-on-one training session if you're unable to attend the sessions.
