Theater of Yugen presents Butoh in Performance

In Disaster Series, Corpus Delicti
(http://www.corpusbutoh.org) is caught in the upheaval and
surge caused by natural and man-made disaster
(tsunami, hurricanes, and war without end…).
Originally presented as a 2-hour outdoor endurance
piece, this theatrical presentation will condense the
nautical calamity into a 40-minute multimedia
maelstorm.

Myopia explores the poignant absurdity of urban
alienation. The Black Stone Ensemble uses the stark,
visceral language of butoh dance, physical comedy, and
classical theatre techniques to play with the
psychodramas we create in sidelong glances across
subway cars.
