Please join us in this incredible opportunity to hear: Iraqi Women Speak Out Tour with:
W. Scott Ritter- a former UN chief weapons inspector for Iraq and author of Iraq Confidential, Frontier Justice, War on Iraq and “Endgame: Solving the Iraqi Problem Once and For All” and has a new book he will bring to our event.
Faiza Al-Araji- a civil engineer, a blogger (afamilyinbaghdad.blogspot.com), a religious Shia with a Sunni husband, and a mother of three. After one son was recently held as a political prisoner by the Ministry of the Interior, the family fled to Jordan.
Fernando Suarez - who lost his son Jesus while fighting in Iraq. Since then, Fernando has been speaking out against the invasion and occupation of Iraq. He traveled to Iraq with Global Exchange to listen to the needs and desires of the Iraqi people and now is calling for the withdrawal of US troops.
Pablo Paredes- former Petty Officer in the US Navy, refused to board his ship as
it left the San Diego Naval Station on December 6, 2004. At the time of his refusal, Pablo said he hoped his protest might inspire other GIs to refuse to take part in the Iraq war. He applied for discharge from the Navy as a conscientious objector but his claim was rejected.
All funds will be in support of Iraqi Women's Speaking Tour, Global Exchange, US Tour of Duty and Fernando's Peace March
