If you miss this film, you'll regret it. You may never have heard of it, but it is one of those films, ya know. All I ask of a good film is that I walk out a different person. The Gleaners and I is like that. And of course, we're at the bike church all winter. Yay for the bike church! Did I mention it's indoors? Warm and dry, but cold hard floor. Bring bankies to stay cozy. Cuddle up. Don't be a stranger. Get snuggly with your neighbor and make room for other folks.

Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In Presents

GLEANERS AND I
with Tao of the Dumpster

Friday March 10th, 8:00pm
at the Bike Church, 703 Pacific Ave, south of Laurel, Santa Cruz

Agnes Varda's mischievious and magical documentary about scavengers, recyclers, and dumpster-divers across France. A film of empathy, skill, curiosity, wit, poetry and passion for life. Not only a brilliant documentary, but a surprisingly personal and touching film. Hosted by Jen and Sean!

PLUS thrilling and funny short films, subversive literature, an intermission, great company, heckling beer-swilling bike church kids, and a rollicking bike ride after the movie.

BRING blankets, pillows, jammies, friends, wine, & food to share for intermission. If you bring folding chairs, please situate them in the back so people sitting on the floor can see. Bring your bike for the Midnight Mystery Ride after the movie. Donations are greatly appreciated and directly support the project and the Revolutionary Garden Society who sponsors Guerilla Drive-In.

MIDNIGHT MYSTERY RIDE: After the movies, the Santa Cruz Midnight Mystery Ride will take you and your friends on a rollicking after-hours tour of the bike ways and back streets of our fair city. Where are we going? It’s a mystery!

SANTA CRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN is an outdoor movie theatre under the stars that springs up in the fields and industrial wastelands. Beyond showing great movies and bringing a broad community together, part of our mission is helping reclaim public space and transforming our urban environment into the joyful playground it should be.

WINTER LOCATION! The new Bike Church location is at 703 Pacific Ave, near the Saturn Cafe.

BREAKING NEWS, updated winter schedule, discussion, do-it-yourself, email list, the works.
