US Premiere – Award-Winning Documentary on the Iraq War
“In the Shadow of the Palms” The feature length documentary film on the Iraq war, “In the Shadow of the Palms”, has been described as a ‘humane and profoundly authentic’ portrayal of the struggles of the people of Iraq through this tumultuous war. The film documents the lives of ordinary people preparing for the war in the months leading up to the invasion and shows the brutal and indiscriminant ‘shock and awe’ bombing of Baghdad. The filmmaker returns to document how the peoples’ lives have changed under the US-led occupation. Tickets $10 advance/$12 at door To purchase advance tickets, visit http://www.victoriatheatre.org The screening benefits the ongoing work of the ANSWER Coalition, including the SF March 18 Protest against the War in Iraq.
