US Premiere – Award-Winning Documentary on the Iraq War
“In the Shadow of the Palms”

Sunday, March 12, 7pm
Victoria Theater, 16th St. between Capp St. and Mission St. San Francisco
near 16th St. BART

The feature length documentary film on the Iraq war, “In the Shadow of the Palms”, has been described as a ‘humane and profoundly authentic’ portrayal of the struggles of the people of Iraq through this tumultuous war. The film documents the lives of ordinary people preparing for the war in the months leading up to the invasion and shows the brutal and indiscriminate ‘shock and awe’ bombing of Baghdad. The film maker returns to document how the peoples’ lives have changed under the US-led occupation.

Tickets $10 advance/$12 at the door
