DEPORTEN A LA MIGRA AND THE SF DAY LABOR PROGRAM

During the Bracero Program in the mid-20th century, a collusion of government & business interests hired thousands of Mexican migrant workers under non-negotiable contracts in terrible conditions, and then defrauded them of millions of dollars in
promised pension with the help of Wells Fargo Bank. Join us to discuss the ex-Bracero Movement for justice and the parallels of that program to the state of immigrant rights in the U.S. today.

ARNOLDO GARCIA from the National Network for
Immigrant Refugee Rights will speak to currently
proposed legislation and anti-immigrant legislations
like R4437 and the Temporary Worker Program
proposed by the Bush Administration.
DON FELIPE MUNOZ PAVON, an ex-Bracero, and
MACRINA CARDENAS will speak of the 10,000
ex-Bracero workers currently organized in the National Alliance of Ex Braceros and discuss strategies on how we can work togetherto demand JUSTICE!
