The Eden Area United Democratic Campaign’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner will be held on Thursday, March 16 at the Carpenter’s Hall on Mattox Road in Hayward. This dinner is an annual event dedicated to raise money for the local Democratic Party within the 18th and 20th Assembly Districts (San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Hayward and the unincorporated areas) so to provide funds for our 2006 fall campaign. This fundraiser is an affordable grassroots event that is the largest annual political event in Alameda County (250-300 attendees on average.)

Our Democratic Party special guests this year will be State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell, Attorney General Bill Locker, and Assemblyman Alberto Torrico. Assemblyman Johan Klehs will be master of ceremonies for the event.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., traditional Irish fare dinner will be served at 6:30 pm and the program will begin at 7:00 pm. The public is invited to attend. Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Seniors admission cost is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Children under 12 and accompanied by an adult are free. Limited vegetarian dinners will be available so please specify. Individuals may call (510) 264-0444 to RSVP.
