Event Type:

Location Details:
The gates of Lockheed Martin in Bonny Doon between 6:15-7:15 am

Dear Fellow Activists,

Please join members of the Santa Cruz Civilian Weapons Inspectors Team (SCWIT) for the monthly vigil this Thursday morning, Feb. 9, at the gates of Lockheed Martin in Bonny Doon between 6:15-7:15 am. Carpool details below.

Lockheed Martin continues to be part of the U.S. war machine, operating within our community, making huge profits on war. This vigil is a great way to take a stand for peace in our community and in the world.

To find out more about this vigil and/or about SCWIT's work, please visit the group's website at http://www.scwit.org/

We meet at the Old Sashmill parking lot at 5:30 am and leave from there at 5:45 am sharp, carpooling up to the gates of Lockheed Martin in time to greet the workers as they arrive beginning around 6:15 am. We generally leave the site at 7:15 am, so those who have to go to work or school will not be delayed.

It may be chilly in the morning so dress accordingly. Bring your own sign or use one of ours.

A new sign I want to make: Wake up and smell the depleted uranium!

Please consider joining our on-going action for peace. RSVP if you think you might want to participate. This will not obligate you!

Regards,
Jane Sooby
