A visionary ecological design training program will take place this Spring at the Alameda Point Collective, a 34-acre former naval air station site where dozens of the Bay Area's leading environmental design experts will gather to facilitate a six-weekend course that will teach urban bay area residents how to live more sustainably. Skills to be taught include: organic gardening practices, renewable energy systems, greywater recycling and natural building techniques.
The six-weekend program also includes five public Saturday evening programs, including Michael Meade on March 24 and Starhawk on April 22.
Complete Course Dates and Times: March 17-19 and 24-26; April 21-23 and 28-30; May 12-14 and 19-21. Fridays 6:30-9pm; Saturdays 9am-5:30pm; and Sundays 12-5:30pm.
Costs: $850 before Feb. 17; $950 through Mar. 17. Includes instruction, materials and public programs.
