Probe 'to confirm CIA abductions'
A European inquiry is expected to report on Tuesday that the CIA did illegally kidnap and transport detainees from Europe.

Swiss senator Dick Marty began his investigation in November and will present his interim report to the Council of Europe, Europe's top human rights watchdog, in Strasbourg on Tuesday.
He has already said he has no doubt that there were secret CIA prisons and that terrorism suspects have been illegally kidnapped and then flown out of Europe on so-called torture flights.
Mr Marty has also accused European governments of being complicit, saying it would have been impossible for them not to know about such activities.

In his report to the Council of Europe, he is expected to focus on well-documented cases involving two men allegedly kidnapped by the CIA and then flown overseas.
An Egyptian cleric was allegedly abducted in Milan in 2003 by the CIA, while a German was said to have been kidnapped in Macedonia and taken to Afghanistan.
