Please join the Builders Solidarity Project and Cole Hardware (3312 Mission
St.) at a tool drive for Hurricane Katrina Survivors this Saturday, Jan 28th
from noon-2pm. Bring used tools to our table or purchase new tools from Cole
Hardware and donate to the project.
Support reconstruction in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast by groups that are
putting the needs of the population over the profits of corporate interest!
The Builders Solidarity Project is a group of Bay Area tradespeople and
allies. We are sending tool and monetary donations to Community Labor United
http://www.communitylaborunited.net and the United Houma Nation
http://www.unitedhoumanation.org
They have specifically requested the following tools for reconstruction
efforts:
Hand Tools:
Hammers, Screwdrivers, Handsaws
Levels, Measuring Tapes, Squares
Pipe Cutters and Wrenches
Pry Bars, Utility Knives, Chalk Lines
Paint Brushers, Rollers
Respirators, Rubber Gloves, Protective Gear
Power Tools & Accessories:
Drills and Drill Bits
Circular, Jig, and Reciprocating Saws with Blades
Extension Cords
Portable Lighting and Flashlights
Nail Guns
Air Compressors
Chain Saws
Portable Generators
