Native American and Arab/Arab American Perspectives

A Night Focusing on Language: Prose, Written, and Spoken

Participating poets include: Sandra Estefan, Jennifer Foerster, Jennifer Fox Bennett, James Gautier, Natalie Gore, Hector Jimenez, Kiswani, Julio Magana-Saludado, Molly McGlennen, Lana Nasser, Kim Shuck, Sabrena Taylor, Sawson Zarour - DJ Mary Jean Robertson of KPOO’s Wednesday evening program will be spinning tunes this evening and live oud will be performed by Saed Musshin.

Kim Shuck and Jennifer Fox Bennett are the co-curators representing the Native American Cultural Center Spoken Word Series. Renda Dabit is the co-curator representing Henna Garden Events and Entertainment.

These programs take place in the “free zone” of the de Young and are offered free of charge. Museum gallery admission is $10/adults, $7/seniors, $6/teens and free for children under 12 years of age. There is a $5 surcharge to visit the Hatshepsut: From Queen to Pharaoh Exhibition.

This is a COLLEGE NIGHT event. Free admission into the galleries is offered to college students with ID for this event
