This Bay Area hearing is one of ten public hearings that will be held throughout the country between now and early 2006 to hear from concerned citizens about how the law is impacting their schools and communities. The results of these hearings will be published and distributed to key decision makers at the federal, state, and local levels, and will include suggested changes and improvements to this far-reaching law.

It is critical that policymakers and education leaders hear from the public about the impact of No Child Left Behind. Particularly as schools across the state are labeled as needing improvement, now is the time to make your voice heard. We need to hear your views on issues ranging from teacher quality and standards and accountability to parent and community involvement.

For more information, visit < http://www.sfedfund.org/nclb>, or contact the San Francisco Education Fund at NCLB@sfedfund.org or (415) 912-2233. Light refreshments, translation services, and childcare will be provided during the event for those in attendance.
