Activists call for Gov. Schwarzenegger to stop the execution of 75
year-old man Clarence Ray Allen, a Choctaw American Indian would be
the thirteenth inmate to be executed since California restored the
death penalty in 1978.

Stop Executions California, a coalition of groups and individuals
opposed to capital punishment will gather on the on Thursday,
January 12, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. to speak out against the scheduled
execution of Clarence Allen, now set for January 17th. The scheduled
list of speakers includes...

Activists will announce plans for protests against the scheduled
execution of Clarence Allen and Michael Morales, who is tentatively
scheduled to be executed on February 21, 2006.

Clarence Ray Allen, an American Indian, is scheduled to be executed at
12:01 am on January 17th. We demand an end to the inhumane death
penalty. After killing Stanley Tookie Williams on December 13th, the
state is speeding up the pace of executions. After Clarence Ray Allen
they will attempt to execute Michael Morales, and possibly several
more individuals in 2006. We need to build the movement to halt their
execution machine!
