Candidates begin to line up in Fresno County
The first week of campaign activity in Fresno is over. Libertarians lead the pack with 10 candidates followed by the Republicans, Democrats, and Peace and Freedom Party, each with one candidate.
Led by Jonathan Zwickel, candidate for the 29th Assembly District, ten Libertarians have taken out in-lieu petitions for partisan political office in the County of Fresno in the first week that a candidate could do so.
Also taking out petitons were one Republican, one Democrat, and one Peace and Freedom: T.J. Cox (Democratic Party for U.S. Congress), Edward C. Streichman (Republican Party for Board of Equalization), and John Crockford (Peace and Freedom Party for State Assembly).
This information was derived from the Fresno County Clerk's web page. Updated candidate information can be found at http://www.co.fresno.ca.us/2850/Post/P2006CandidateList.pdf
