Each day, more energy falls to the earth from the sun's rays than the total amount of energy the planet's 5.9 billion inhabitants would consume in 27 years.

December 15, 2005 - The California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) in its ongoing efforts to promote renewable power, today increased funding by $300 million for solar photovoltaic technologies.

In recognition of the benefits of solar technologies as a viable energy resource alternative to traditional energy technologies, the Commission increased funding for solar technologies that are currently part of the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP).
