After Party at SOLUNA: 8:00pm-11pm

Okay people, here is the deal. The legislation for public financing for the Mayor's race will be reviewed by the Ethics Commission on Monday, December 19th. It is a really important that the Ethics people see that there are hundreds of people, especially young people, out to support this legislation. This will help influence their decision to endorse this legislation! So come out, bring your friends, family, co-workers and show your face at the hearing.

And then come party with us at SOLUNA. Why not? It's the holidays, Dj Cali Phat will be spinning a.k.a Julian Mocine-Mcqueen and Soluna has great drinks!

WHAT IS PUBLIC FINANCING ANYWAY??!!!
Public financing will give more people, other than rich, established politicians a chance to run for Mayor. If someone, (like you), can show that they have a broad base of support then they can receive funds from the city to run their campaign. This is good because it will allow more young people and other people who don't have the corporate or personal financial support to run for Mayor. Great huh? We already use it for the Board of Supervisors race and it works great! It creates a much more diverse group of candidates for the voting public to choose from!!
