Congrats to whoever took this photo for a nice job of editing! Had it included the main part of the group (notice all the protestors looking to their left) you would have noted the contingent from SF Voice for Israel providing a counterprotest directly in front. That's because Bay Area Women in Black, despite standing for "Peace", never protests at any pro-Palestinian events that support or encourage terrorism; rather, they stand AGAINST anti-terror rallies such as in Berkeley in January.
If you truly stand only for peace, then don't just stand against the one side in the conflict that is the target of terrorists from Gaza all the way to the government of Iran.

By no convoluted stretch is Voice for Israel sincerely petitioning for peace. Unless, that is, you define "peace" the same way they do: completing the zionist program of totally destroying the Palestinian's sovereignty and Arab identity -- and until then any atrocity is justified

SF Voice for Israel is a grass roots direct action peace group with no affiliation with Horowitz or the Protest warriors. And there was no "hostility" involved in this or any other demonstration.

I think it was an effective strategy to show the people of the Bay Area that there is strong Zionist support. The counterprotestors had signs, and I believe handed out literature, thereby educating the general public.

Think "counterprotest" as in "counterbalance" -a force or influence equally balancing or counteracting another.
