Includes SF premier of "Independent America," a new film that gives an inside look at the debate over how communities should develop and a movement toward "local" some communities have embraced. The filmmakers interview economists, activists, political leaders, union members, entrepreneurs, a Wal-Mart exec, and concerned Americans from all walks of life as they travel across America in search of answers. This event is part of SF's Shop Local First Week. Co-sponsored by SF LOMA (San Francisco Locally Owned Merchants Association).
