Dear Friend,

Indian People Organizing for Change, IPOC, Vallejo Intertribal Council
and SSPRIT is inviting you to come and participate in a peace walk we
are sponsoring November 6-25, 2005. The Sacred Site/Shellmound Peace
Walk will span 270 miles of the Bay Area. The walk is to bring about
awareness and education to the communities in our area about the vast
historical resources that exist here, but more importantly, the
continued desecration and destruction of our ancestral burial sites.
Burial sites and Shellmounds have existed on this land since time
immemorial, some of them are older than the pyramids in Egypt. We are
humbly asking for your presence during this walk for peace, as we
remember our ancestors and pray at the sites that are the resting
places for Ohlone people.
