Friday, November 25th is Buy Nothing Day! the day after Thanksgiving, also known as black friday, is the largest shopping day of the year. to counter the rabid consumer culture that has engulfed our society, activists use this day every year to encourage people to curb their consumption for at least one day. all you need to do is to not buy anything. however, if you are inclined to do more than just buy nothing, and we hope you are, the People's Revolutionary Organization is hosting a full day of direct action! starting at 9am and lasting until approximately 4pm, we will be staging events at various shopping centers in Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa, in an attempt to disrupt the normal flow of consumerism in a fun, unique way and to get people to stop and think about what their consumption means to the rest of the world. the schedule of actions is as follows: 9am- Kohl's in Petaluma, 10am- Target in Rohnert Park, 11am- Wal Mart in Rohnert Park, 1pm Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa,2pm- Santa Rosa Mall, 3pm Best Buy in Santa Rosa, 4pm Target in Santa Rosa. if you are interested, please join us for a great day of positive, fun action. tell all your friends. if you need driving arrangements, please call Carl at 338-5318.
