Stop the War on Reproductive Rights!
All are welcome at this day at the park to demand full reproductive justice and help build a grassroots movement to end the surge in repressive attacks on women’s health and freedom. Demands include No on Proposition 73, which targets abortion rights for young women; Supreme Court justices who safeguard woman’s rights and civil liberties; repeal of the Hyde Amendment; universal healthcare, safe birth control, pre-natal care, and affordable childcare, and more. Also learn what you can do to counter anti-choice fundamentalists coming to San Francisco in January 2006. Featuring music, art and speakers, including San Francisco City Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi; Oakland City Councilwoman, Nancy Nadel; writer Michelle Tea; Women’s Choice Clinic Executive Director Linci Comy and others. The rally takes place on Saturday, November 5 in San Francisco at Dolores Park (19th and Dolores Streets) at 1:00pm and culminates in a Take Back the Night March at 4:30pm. Sponsored by the Bay Area Coalition for Our Reproductive Rights. For more information, call 415-864-1278 or e-mail bacorrinfo@riseup.net.
