Chet Helms Tribal Stomp
A Celebration of the Life of Chet Helms - Free Concert in Golden Gate Park

Saturday October 30, 2005, a major tribute to the works of Chet Helms will be be held in Speedway Meadow. Chet came to San Francisco from Texas in the early 1960's, and brought with him the love, energy and vision to create the SF Music Scene.
"Without Chet Helms, as many have said, there would be no Grateful Dead, no Jefferson Airplane, no Big Brother and the list goes on and on. He promoted other acts such as the Charlatans, the Great Society, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Peter Tosh, The Clash and countless others."
Chet passed on earlier this year, but the triumph of his life will be celebrated in this massive effort.
