The Minutemen are really ramping up their media campaign, including a major rally in Sacramento to promote their California Border Patrol initiative, an attempt to further militarize the border and our communities at the cost of more people's lives. Recently, they testified before congress ( http://www.dakotavoice.com/200510/20051018_6.html ) to ask that congres declare a state of emergency along the entire border. Clearly, they want more policing of our lives and communities, they want unrestricted fascism on the border. Still, resistance to the Minutemen ( http://www.deletetheborder.org/ ) has been powerful and is still growing, all across North America.
Here are the phone numbers they're providing for media access in their press advisory. Do you have any interesting ideas for phone jamming? How about txt messaging? Is there an automated way to do it, or is just calling them and giving them a piece of your mind the best strategy? In the past, the imitation factor has been effective, pretending to register as a volunteer. Maybe pretending to set up lots of interviews around town is a good idea. Just who the hell are your people? Do you own them? Have some people consigned themselves to you? or is this some sort of racial association brotherhood?

What I have is a result of me working for it, LEGALLY.
My grandparents were LEGAL immigrants.
Nobody in my family has ever been on food stamps or welfare, or lived in public housing.
None of my relatives are sneaking across the border, to work illegally in this country.
Tightening up our porous borders is not racist. It's not solely directed at Mexicans who wish to come here to work. It's a matter of self-protection, not only from illegal aliens who suck up our public resources by willingly working in underpaid jobs, with bogus or no identification, but from illegal aliens who happen to be terrorists or drug runners.

UNDOCUMENTED PEOPLE that come here are not just mexicans! they come all over the world. if someone is going to claim to know what they are talking about i suggest to do your research first. Undocumented people that come ARE NOT LOOKING TO TAKE YOUR JOBS!!! THEY ARE NOT TERRORIST!!! AND ALL OF THEM ARE NOT ON GOVERNMENT AID!!! plenty of people that are "legal", as some claim are on government aid. and these minutemen claim not to be racist? hypocrites.
I don't care why someone comes here illegally. I only care that they do. It's not the job of a fence or border to disseminate information and make judgement calls. Fences can't tell one persons' wish or desire from anothers'. That would be the the Border Patrols' , and INS's responsibilty. So enter at the spot where someone in authority will listen to your reasons. Everywhere else, expect a confrontation, alarm, or arrest.
