As more than 1,000 workers in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Indiana continue a strike against Sprint, there is no sign that the company is willing to negotiate.

Northwest asks bankruptcy court to void labor contracts
Northwest Airlines wants to throw out its union contracts. The airline, which filed for bankruptcy protection in September, has asked a bankruptcy judge for permission to void the labor contracts if the unions don't agree to concessions of $1.4 billion a year. The pilot's union at Northwest expected this step, and says it hopes an agreement with Northwest can be reached. .

UAW warns Delphi and GM that strike is possible
The United Auto Workers union is mobilizing to defend Delphi workers in court and with a possible strike. The UAW is telling its Delphi workers to prepare for a strike if the bankruptcy court throws out the union contract. In an unprecedented assault on UAW families' standards of living, pensions and health benefits Delphi wants to wipe out medical benefits for retirees, sell many of its 31 U.S. plants and cut wages by more than 60 percent.
