Oct 8-9 2005 SF Fleet Week & Navy's Blue Death & Red Bull Horror Show

by (
The 25th year of glorification of war commonly known as Fleet Week & the Navy's Blue Death terrorism during Columbus Genocide Weekend, 10/8-9/2005, brought to San Francisco by the San Francisco Democratic Party, was rudely announced to all of us by the Democratic Party's mouthpiece, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, with a multi-color brochure insert in its 10/5/05 edition, demonstrating the hypocrisy of the Bay Guardian and the lack of any difference between the warmongering Democrats and warmongering Republicans.

The utter contempt of both the Bay Guardian and the Democratic Party machine is demonstrated with their response to our annual protests: They are now trying to promote this horror show with a second air show during this time period by a civilian group, The Red Bull Air Race World Series. This death-defying air show will circle over the Bay near the swanky homes in the Marina, which should guarantee thousands of phone calls, Emails, letters, faxes and face-to-face meetings with all of the worthless politicians sitting at City Hall, and this response is well-deserved.

However, we cannot and never do rely upon the Marina to teach City Hall a lesson when they show contempt for those of us who pay for their existence.

The Navy's Blue Death is scheduled the same weekend of 10/8-9/05 to once again terrorize San Francisco with its illegal low flights over heavily populated San Francisco, wasting tax dollars and oil, and making a horrific noise. As we all should know by now, the military does not exist to entertain anyone; it exists to murder the workers of the world so as to maximize the profits of the capitalist class.

We must do our annual duty, by the hundreds of thousands, and call City Hall with our windows open while we are inside our homes suffering from the terrible noise so that whoever answers can hear it, or the voice mail of any politician can record it. If you have time, call all 11 supervisors and the mayor's office. Only 1, Ross Mirkarimi, is a Green, the rest are Democrats. There are 600,000 adults in San Francisco. These politicians deserve 600,000 phone calls, Emails and faxes, and with the except of Mirkarimi, none of them deserve your vote. The only people you should be voting for are the socialist Peace & Freedom Party candidates or the Green Party candidates, all of whom oppose this deadly glorification of war.

The mayor could cancel this whole show immediately. Since we no longer have a navy base here thanks to our many peace marches, these ships are coming from San Diego and Hawaii, at great expense to us taxpayers. We all know all the social needs we have; we do not need any military at all and we do not need Fleet Week, civilian air shows and the Navy's Blue Death.

Count me out of a jingoistic, mindless celebration of the gluttonous, unaccountable military industrial complex.
by Steve, care to engage in adult talk?
Let us know when you get the courage to engage in a real, coherent dialogue/debate (since this is supposed to be a discussion forum). When you get the intestinal fortitude to support your arguments/assertions (when you actually go beyond your childish attempts at inflammatory commentary)
Let us know. Until then, we will laugh as your irrelevant regurgitated right-wing Fox news snippets get deleted and ignored.

Hello; This article clearly, and correctly, points out that the Democratic Party stands for nothing; they're spineless as ever - even middle of the road conservatives know this. The Republicans...well, they'll probably never get elected in S.F., as common sense is largely vacant here. But don't worry, they'll be around when you need your back covered...and protect your right to be an arse-blow. What a city...I love it here! The BA's were FANTASTIC today. 6 of us were on my roof waving USA flags as they flew by...I know they saw us and I'm sure they appreciated it. God Bless our wonderful country...the best place in the world to live! Kind Regards, Father B. Sheepshagger
