Join us in a discussion about creating sanctuary for wildlife, yourself and your community in your own backyard. We’ll look at reasons and ways to build habitat and grow food for yourself and all kinds of other critters. Natural, wild environments provide inspiration and guidance in developing yards that provide food, shelter and places to raise young. We’ll talk about the food chain, soil, water, project ideas and where and how to look for wildlife. Urban neighborhood yards can assist dramatically in restoring balance, wildness and health to our daily lives. At 8 pm we’ll share the bounty of our local backyards, gardens and farms. Come to meet your neighbors and maybe even get a little wild. Please come with harvested fruits and vegetables, plants, seeds and recipes you would like to share and trade. Local cheese, fruit, snacks and wine will also be available Free!
