Countercurrent Gulf Coast Grass Roots Relief

The Countercurrent Coalition is gearing up for a support mission to the Gulf coast, bringing supplies, equipment and volunteers to The Houma Nation, the New Wave Cafe, Common Grounds as well as other communities and individuals in need of our services. We will be leaving the Bay Area on October 21st in two busses and a flat-bed truck (all converted to run on Waste Vegetable Oil) The caravan is being equipped and staffed members of local community arts collectives, SPAZ, Katabatic, 5lowershop and Circo Mutante in Cooperation with The Nascent Project non-profit.

We are calling for support from the community, businesses, organizations and individuals to continue the effort to clean up, repopulate and rebuild an entire region disruped by recent hurricanes. You can help by contributing money, time or donating supplies (listed on our website) to designated drop off locations in the bay area.
