§No smoking in the park.

Okay I am not a smoker, but this rule sucks. Let me tell you why. People still smoked, BUT on the side and in the woods.
I found one small grass fire burning as a result of a cigarette butt. People are going to smoke no matter what rules there are, and they will do it where no one can see them and in dry brush where a potential fire could get started.
I think an educational program would have been best.
Life is tough so people want to enjoy it to the fullest extent of the law, but my fear is there will be a major fire in the parks because people will smoke where no one can see them and inadvertantly snub the butt out in dry brush. Poof there you have it. A fire in the park? I think our politicians need an education.

Sorry; the men playing with Ralph are called the Cinch Mountain Boys.
Long Live Bluegrass!

I grew up with Bluegrass and this festival ranks as one of the best I have ever seen.
Thank You Warren Helman.
Sure wish I could be your friend.

Named after Clinch Mountain near the Virginia-Kentucky border in the southern Appalachins.
Ralph Stanley is the best! Not only helped develop bluegrass, but he keeps Old Time music alive, too!

Yes, Thank you it is the Clinch Mountain Boys.
I must have been asleep on that one.
by WTF???
Warren Hellman is an evil man who spends his money attacking the homeless, supporting anti-progressive politics, and privatizing public space. Yet he sponsors some tunes and you're ready to kiss his ass?

its about time he did something right

as enjoyable as ever this year.Highlight for me was Todd Snider . Saw him at McNear's in Petaluma two days earlier also and think that he's a wonderment. The whole event seems a big secret over here. Given the manner in which many uk festival-goers behave these days perhaps it's just as well.It was a huge joy for me.

It's a real crime when a man has politics that don't agree with yours, and spends his money however he wants to.
