Featuring an introduction to Anarchist Action, how people can organize through the forum, and a presentation of ongoing projects being worked on by Anarchist Action in San Francisco. These projects include organizing to directly shutdown the racist vigilante group "the minutemen” and to oppose all borders; coordinating mass direct action and fare strike against layoffs, service cuts, and fare hikes on San Francisco's public transit system (MUNI); and radical anti-war organizing to disrupt the Iraq War and the capitalist system behind it.
Anarchist Action is an open forum thaFeaturing an introduction to Anarchist Action, how people can organize through
the forum, and a presentation of ongoing projects being worked on by Anarchist Action in San Francisco. These projects include organizing to directly shutdown the racist vigilante group "the minutemen” and to oppose all borders; coordinating mass direct action and fare strike against layoffs, service cuts, and fare hikes on San Francisco's public transit system (MUNI); and radical anti-war organizing to disrupt the Iraq War and the capitalist system behind it.t facilitates collective direct action
resistance to capitalism, government, racism, patriarchy, and all forms of
oppression. Anarchist Action does not plan or execute direct actions. Instead,
it serves as a resource and an outreach tool for projects that are brought to
it. The focus of the forum is captured in the broad set of guidelines which it
provides to potential projects or working groups. Anarchist action does not
seek to reform the current system, nor does it propose a specific alternative
with which to replace the system that exploits us. Rather, its means are also
its end: to empower people through mass direct action and to generate the kind
of solidarity that can only be forged in struggle. This solidarity is our
defense against capitalism, government, racism, patriarchy, and all forms of
oppression, and it is a foundation for any post-revolutionary system based on
cooperation and mutual aid.
Anarchist action welcomes projects which are: Mass, collective actions | Direct
resistance | Non-electoral | Expandable and inclusive | Non-hierarchical in
decision-making and organizing processes | Sustainable and well-organized.
