Does SF Faith Community care? Free Tyrelle Tayor Bail Fund Appeal

Dear Members of the Faith Community,

Your action and support is urgently needed to transfer young Tyrelle Taylor from SF County Jail to SF General Hospital, as he needs critical quality medical care, and long term physical therapy and rehabilitation. In order to do so, we need to raise Bail fund to have him released to SFGH

Tyrelle, 18, is detained at SF Country Jail since 9-9-05, with 4 bullets in his body that cannot be dislodged without endangering his life. He is being taunted and terrified by the prison guards, who once told him :"We'll change your dressings when we get ready to!". Substandard medical care is gravely impacting Tyrelle's odds of survival or future health well being for the rest of his young life.

The bail has been set to $15,000. Idriss Stelley Foundation has fronted $3000 towards the bail, but we are still $12,000 short.... ISF is planning 2 events to raise bail funds, and needs your proactive action !

If we do not respond, we are all responsible for Tyrelle's bleak health outcome, and maybe his very survival odds of survival !

Reverend Ted Frazier bravely stepped up to the plate and came to Tyrelle's preliminary hearing on 9-12-05. Public Defender Jeff Adachi introduced him to the presiding judge as a reputable Faith Leader ready to vouch for Tyrelle's spiritual counseling and guidance upon his release.

Won't you join him? I, as director of Idriss Stelley Foundation, have joined Reverend Frazier Prison Ministry , stemming from my immense gratitude to see a prominent Faith leader, (with all due respect!) "put his action where is mouth is" !

Poor People of Color is San Francisco look up to their Faith Leaders to advocate and fight for their human rights.

Reverend Amos Brown,
and Minister Chris Mohammed
have tirelessly showed up and spoken around the violation of People of Color civil rights and against the genocide, from the murders of young African American children in Atlanta, and the murder of Baby Glen in Bayview Hunters Point, to the slaughter of Cammerin Boyd in SF on 5-5-05.

We respectfully urge you to follow their powerful example,
and do whatever it takes in terms of fundraising to
release Tyrelle Taylor to San Francisco General Hospital
with no further delay !

ISF is collecting funds to be allocated to FreeTyrelleBailFund. We maintain pubic records, and checks will be held until Tyrelle's release. If, God forbid, Tyrelle remains in County Jail, checks will be refunded in their totality.
