"Because of its long history of abuse and neglect, we have immediate questions about the conditions leading to the sudden death of a 22 year-old man in the custody of the San Francisco Police Department.", says Malaika Parker, Director of Bay Area PoliceWatch, a local police watchdog group.
" The Bayview Precinct Captain Rick Bruce has resigned... The Bayview Station operates without leadership and needs to be held accountable, around the shooting and beating of Tyrelle Taylor, 18 yr American American on 9-9-05 and the bizarre, gruesome death of Craig Holden in custody" states mesha Monge-Irizarry, director of Police Accountability agency Idriss Stelley foundation whose office is in the heart of Bayview, at 4921 3rd St, SF.
The Community is calling for an immediate investigation to rule out any possibility of police abuse that may have contributed to Holden's death.
