The 'box' that asks the felony question on city/county of S.F. applications will be off. The part we are hammering out with Human Resources is at what point, by who and how will criminal background information be accessed--along with the specificity of the check. Also, providing the applicant meets other qualifications, an interview with the applicant re: convictions will be required to take place (hopefully).
